Income for life

This document allows you to make sure that that special person like your elderly mother or father, or your spouse etc, is looked after until they die. On their death, you can say what happens to that part of your estate that they have been living on.

Question: can I differentiate between leaving my capital in the hands of one person and the interest on the capital to be distributed to other people?

Answer: yes, this is another version of an income for life creation.

Question: can this capital go into a trust (testamentary trust) and can the person giving the income for life utilise both the capital and the interest or just the capital and had no interest?

Answer: yes, it's up to you to determine exactly what is best for those people that you leave behind. Remember, anything is possible provided it is legal.
