Declaration of wishes - WILL 15

Not everything can be left in a will. In a Declaration of wishes you can give directions as to how you would like things handled on your death. This document relates specifically to assets in family and other trusts.

Question: I have very little in my personal name because most of my assets are held in trusts. Is this the document that tells the trustee how to handle the assets of the trust?

Answer: yes. Remember however that this does not form part of your estate because your family trusts or other trusts or other companies to which this document would be directed hold those assets. You can simply give direction.
